Bus trip to the NJ Oyster Fest in Port Norris, NJ on Saturday, October 18

Navesink Maritime Heritage Association is excited to be running a bus trip on a chartered coach to the New Jersey Oyster Festival on Saturday, October 18. Tickets include transportation and admittance to the festival which includes all-you-can-eat oysters, live music, food trucks, wine and craft beer and museum admittance. The festival is a fundraiser for The Bayshore Center at Bivalve, homeport of the Schooner AJ Meerwald.
Oyster varieties offered at last year’s festival included East Point, Graveling Point, Cape May Salts, Sloop Point, Tide River, Tuckers Island, Jersey Shore Salts, Southern State and Silky Salt Oysters. These oysters are from the Delaware Bay, Great Bay/Mullica River, Barnegat Bay, Delaware Bay and Great Egg Harbor Bay.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.navesinkmaritime.org. Tickets are $125 for NMHA members and $145 for non-members. The coach leaves from Grover House, 930 West Front Street, Red Bank, at 9:30am and is expected to return to Red Bank by 6:46pm.
