The Jazz Arts Academy Summer Session is a one-week intensive jazz studies program for aspiring teen jazz musicians. This is a unique program where each student gets the opportunity to perform and to learn about the many aspects of jazz: melody, harmony, improvisation, jazz standard tunes, and the rich history of this great music.
The faculty and visiting clinicians include world-class professional recording artists who are also dedicated educators, including Brandon McCune, Zach Lorelli, and Joe Muccioli. Students gain insight and experience into the world of jazz by hands-on performance-based classes, theory lessons, workshops and listening sessions.

Experience 'Parkinson's Inside Out', a compelling exhibition curated by Ellen Martin. This free event is open to all and features special poetry readings on July 25th at 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.
William Zimmerman, who has been making art since childhood, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2018. As a lifelong artist, he felt it necessary to process his health through art. Early on, he explored automatic writing to express what it felt like to inhabit his body. However, this technique alone could not convey what he needed to say.
After completing numerous studies of figurative work, he determined that abstraction was the best way to visually express his feelings about living with this degenerative neuromuscular disease. To focus on form, Zimmerman limited himself to two colors: red oxide and buff titanium.
After moving to New Jersey in 2025, Zimmerman was invited to join the Radical Suggestions, a poetry-writing and workshopping group. Through writing with this group, he found a way to connect writing to painting and decided to write a poem for each of 70 9” x 12” paintings on paper. So far, he has completed 31 poems.
A select group of these works on paper, accompanied by their corresponding poems, along with works on canvas, is being presented for the first time at The Art Pod in Red Bank, NJ.

There will be two poetry readings on July 25, 2026, the first starting at 3:00 p.m. and the second at 4:00 p.m. Please be prompt.
The Art Pod is the working studio and gallery of Ellen Martin, Mona Pollard, and Colin Goodall. It is located at 43 West Front Street, Hamilton Building, Units #7 &amp; 8, Red Bank, NJ. Martin studied Art History at Brooklyn College, where she earned her B.A. She will conclude her ten-year tenure as Director of Art Programming and Curator at The Oyster Point Hotel Gallery in January 2027. During her tenure, she curated more than 70 exhibitions and art events and established the Hotel’s Artist-in-Residence and Acquisition Programs. She has curated pop-ups and art exhibits at The Art Pod and other venues.

The YMCA of the Jersey Shore Counseling &amp; Social Services is offering Let's Get Social, a five-week Social Skills &amp; Self-Esteem Group designed to help youth ages 11–13 build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop healthy friendships in a safe, supportive environment. 
Growing up comes with challenges, and no child should have to navigate them alone. Led by an experienced YMCA Counseling &amp; Social Services behavioral health counselor, this small-group program gives participants practical tools to improve social interactions while building self-esteem and emotional resilience.
Throughout the program, participants will learn how to:

Start and maintain conversations
</li>
<li>
Handle peer pressure and conflict
</li>
<li>
Communicate clearly and assertively
</li>
