Dance, Vote, and Give Back: YMCA of the Jersey Shore and Caregiver Volunteers Invite Community to Support Local Seniors

Dancing With Their Stars fundraiser on September 30, 2026, offers a fun night out and three ways to help provide free services for seniors.

YMCA of the Jersey Shore and Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) invite the community to put on their dancing shoes or watch the livestream and make a difference for local seniors by supporting Dancing With Their Stars, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 6–10 p.m.

The festive evening takes on added meaning this year following the July merger of the two longtime community nonprofits. Together, the Y and CVCJ are expanding support for older adults in Monmouth and Ocean counties while preserving CVCJ’s commitment to volunteer-driven care and personal connection.

For more than 30 years, CVCJ has provided free services to help older adults remain independent and connected, including transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping assistance, friendly visits, therapy dogs, reassurance calls and other practical support. Through the merger, CVCJ is integrating within the YMCA Counseling and Social Services branch, creating opportunities to further support seniors’ wellness, mental health, aging needs and social connection.

“Dancing With Their Stars is a wonderful example of what community looks like in action,” said Bob Scott, Executive Director, Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey. “As the YMCA of the Jersey Shore and Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey come together, we’re building on a shared commitment to helping our neighbors live healthier, more connected lives. Every ticket purchased, vote cast and raffle entry helps ensure local seniors can continue receiving the support and personal connection they need to remain independent and engaged in our community.”

Dancing With Their Stars offers three fun ways to support the cause: attend, vote and take a chance on the 50/50.

Make It a Night Out

Dancing With Their Stars brings local community members to the dance floor for a spirited competition benefiting CVCJ’s free senior services. Tickets are $175 per person and include a four-hour open bar with beer, wine and soda, butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, crudité and cheese, a hot dinner buffet, desserts and dancing. The event will be held at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, 20 Shore Oaks Drive, Farmingdale, NJ, from 6–10 p.m.

Purchase tickets at www.cvcj.org/dwts.

Vote for Your Favorite Dance Team

Among this year’s stars are the Y’s Morgan Pascali, Membership Director, and Kim Saldida, Marketing Manager, representing YMCA of the Jersey Shore. Morgan and Kim are dancing to celebrate community service, giving back and supporting neighbors who need a helping hand. Community members can support their journey by voting for Morgan and Kim or their favorite dance team, with votes helping raise funds for CVCJ’s free senior services.

Cast your vote at www.cvcj.org/dwts.

Take a Chance on the 50/50

Supporters can also participate in CVCJ’s 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser. Tickets are $100 each, with a maximum of 250 available. If all tickets are sold, the winner would receive $12,500. If fewer are sold, the winner receives 50% of actual ticket proceeds. The winning ticket will be drawn at Dancing With Their Stars on September 30, and the winner does not need to be present.

Purchase raffle tickets at www.cvcj.org/50-50.

Whether you attend, vote for a dance team or enter the 50/50, every contribution helps CVCJ continue providing free services that keep seniors independent, engaged and connected.
