Celebrating the Life of Former Red Bank Catholic Student Kelly Anne Gordon
Friends and family of Kelly Anne Gordon gathered to celebrate her extraordinary life at an event held at the Manhattan Sailing Club.

“The lived life…” That phrase aptly describes the all too short life of Kelly Anne Gordon. Kelly, a 2010 graduate of Red Bank Catholic, is hard to capture in words. Her own words best describe her, “Be extraordinary at everything you do.” Kelly lived an extraordinary life and she was an extraordinary person. The Boston College student was slated to receive her diploma from the Carroll School of Business just one month after she was killed in a tragic accident in New York City.
Kelly’s family and friends gathered to celebrate her at an event held on the floating club house at the Manhattan Sailing Club. The event was organized by Kelly’s Red Bank Catholic classmate and friend, Kelley Ford, her stepsister, Ali Axt, and her friend, Samantha Berardo. It sold out quickly and the capacity crowd enjoyed spectacular weather, good food, special memories and the chance to win amazing auction items including prizes from the Dr. Oz Show, the Rachel Ray Show, Woody’s Ocean Grille, SoulCycle NYC, Groupon, The Manhattan Sailing Club, the Count Basie Theater and Trump International Golf Course. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kelly Anne Gordon Memorial Fund at Red Bank Catholic which will fund an annual scholarship for an incoming freshman and “Inspire Grants” which will provide Red Bank Catholic teachers with funding to launch new programs, add innovations to their classrooms or study something that will impact their students. The funds will inspire the extraordinary—a fitting tribute to Kelly. Kelley Ford said that they hope to host the event annually.
Anyone interested in supporting the Kelly Anne Gordon Memorial Fund at Red Bank Catholic can mail a check to the Red Bank Catholic Office of Advancement 112 Broad Street Red Bank NJ 07701. Checks should be made out to Red Bank Catholic. Please indicate on the donation that it is for Kelly’s Fund.
