DWI Checkpoint In Monmouth County Friday Night
Breaking: The county's DWI Task Force will be looking for drivers impaired by drugs as well as those impaired by alcohol.

SHREWSBURY, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a DWI checkpoint Friday night on Route 35 in Shrewsbury, authorities said Thursday.
The checkpoint will run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, the task force coordinator.
Task force members and officers from the Shrewsbury Police Department will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes into the Shrewsbury Plaza parking lot to determine driver’s sobriety, Palmer said.

They will be looking not only for drivers under the influence of alcohol, but also drugs, Palmer said.
