DWI Checkpoint Set For Monmouth County Friday

Breaking: Officers will be looking for drivers impaired by drugs or alcohol, the task force chief said.

TINTON FALLS, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a DWI checkpoint in Tinton Falls, officials said Friday.

The checkpoint will be on Hope Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, the task force coordinator.

Task force members and officers from the Tinton Falls Police Department will pull vehicles from the southbound lanes on Hope Road into the Centre Plaza parking lot to determine the sobriety of the drivers, Palmer said. They will be looking for drivers impaired by drugs as well as those impaired by alcohol, he said.
