DWI Checkpoint In Shrewsbury Friday Night, May 3

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday at Shrewsbury Plaza on Hwy 35 southbound.

SHREWSBURY, NJ — Be aware if you're out celebrating Cinco de Mayo a little early this weekend: The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be holding a DWI checkpoint this Friday night, May 3 on Highway 35 in Shrewsbury.

The checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday on Hwy 35 southbound.

Task force members and officers from the Shrewsbury police department will pull cars from the southbound lanes into the Shrewsbury Plaza parking lot to determine driver's sobriety, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B. Schneider, task force coordinator.
