A 12-time Grammy Award winner, Billboard Century Award recipient and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Emmylou Harris’ career as a singer and songwriter spans more than 40 years and 25 albums. Her exquisite voice and singing style allows her music to flow effortlessly between pop, folk, country and alternative. In testament to these diverse leanings, she is both #22 on VH1’s 100 Most Influential Women in Rock and Roll, and #5 on CMT’s 40 Greatest Women of Country Music. Still at the peak of her powers, in 2008 Newsweek said, “…Harris is still the stalwart songbird at the top of the roost.” She has also recorded with artists like Beck, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Chieftains, Lyle Lovett, Roy Orbison, The Band and Willie Nelson. Her new release, “Hard Bargain,” is due on April 26, 2011.
