Red Bank FrameWorks is proud to present in the gallery "John Van Hamersveld: Graphic Works", an up close look at over 5 decades of design and print work by one of America's original psychedelic poster artists.
Showcasing 15 examples of works on paper : from his breakthrough poster graphic for Roger Brown's surf film classic "Endless Summer" in 1966, through 60's and 70's designs for the Jefferson Airplane, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and the Velvet Underground, to recent benefit prints incorporating his surf-themed "Water Works" series, and coming back full circle to color saturated, tripped out posters for the 2005 Cream reunion shows in London and NYC, and the latest Steve Winwood - Eric Clapton concerts.

In addition to poster graphics and works on paper (which include original drawings, fine art photography and commercial illustration) John has designed record covers, advertisements, and promotional materials for The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Jimmy McGriff, Blondie, KISS, The Rolling Stones, Public Image Ltd., The Who, and many, many, more...
Through his design firm, Coolhous Studio, John Van Hamersveld has remained at the forefront of international graphic design for over 5 decades, teaching and inspiring new generations of graphic artists.This fall, Ginko Press will be celebrating John’s work by releasing a hardbound monograph "Van Hamersveld | Coolhous Studio: 50 Years of Graphic Design by John van Hamersveld" with a forward by Shepard Fairey.
