Ted Nugent at Count Basie

Ted Nugent’s first hit was as a member of the Amboy Dukes. Their psychedelic hit “Journey to the Center of the Mind” scaled the charts in 1968. He’s since released over 30 records with career sales of 30 million copeis. His 1978 live album, Double Live Gonzo, documented an energetic live show, and finally catapulted him to stardom. Powered by rock radio staples like “Dog Eat Dog,” “Cat Scratch Fever,” and “Wango Tango,” he became a top touring act, and has been a member of two super groups, Damn Yankees in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s, whose hits include “High Enough,” “Where You Goin’ Now” and “Coming of Age,” and Damnocracy, the band featured in VH1’s 2006 reality show, SuperGroup. An avid hunter and outspoken conservative activist, he has hosted a #1 radio show in Detroit, is a NY Times bestselling author, and has hosted several shows for the Outdoor Channel.
