FOOTBALL: Red Bank Tops Wall In Season Opener

The Bucs intercepted Wall's backup quarterback six times.

Red Bank quarterback Jack Navitsky passed for two touchdowns and Jack O’Connor kicked a pair of field goals, including a 47-yarder, as the Bucs opened the 2015 season with a 20-7 Shore Conference Class B North victory over host Wall.

The Shore Sports Network report says Wall senior quarterback Matt Cluley left the game with an injury early in the game, and Red Bank took advantage, intercepting sophomore quarterback Eddie Scott six times.

Red Bank middle linebacker Sadiq Palmer had two interceptions, including one that stopped a Crimson Knights’ drive at the Red Bank 15-yard line, and caught a touchdown pass.

Navitsky hit Matt Reardon for a 12-yard touchdown, and O’Connor kicked a 47-yard field goal to give Red Bank a 10-0 lead at the half.

Sophomore Chevesse Covin scored a touchdown late for Wall.
