For Q104.3’s Ken Dashow, Red Bank is Like Family
"Love's the Town, Love's The People"
“Red Bank to me is Q104.3 South,” legendary New York DJ Ken Dashow said on a beautiful July night along the banks of the Navesink.
“Love the town, love the people. Coming down here, it’s like being at a picnic, a family picnic."
Punctuating his remarks, two long-time fans, Ducky and Joanne of Fair Haven stopped by to say "hi" to Dashow while he was being interviewed. Dashow is as engaging in person as he is one air and spent some time with them talking about music, the festival and autographing some merchandise.

Red Bank has been “an amazing home to us, so many listeners, so many great fans here,” he turned to say as Ducky and Joanne made their way back to the lawn.
Dashow has been coming down to Red Bank for about 13 years now after becoming friends with former Mayor Ed McKenna. Ed brought me down here Dashow said and Red Bank has become like a “second home to me.”

“It’s an adopted home.”
Dashow frequents different restaurants, bars and music venues in town and heads out to play golf whenever he’s in the area. He knows there’s plenty to do and high quality music all summer long just a couple miles down the river from the beach.
