Grant Helps Red Bank Nonprofit's Housing Program
The Affinity Foundation awards HABcore $4,000 for helping people find affordable housing.
RED BANK, N.J. — HABcore in Red Bank has been granted $4,000 for its Independence Pathways (IP) Program, which combines affordable housing with coordinated services. The grant comes from the Affinity Foundation, based in Basking Ridge, which is the philanthropic arm of Affinity Federal Credit Union.
HABcore assists people struggling with chronic physical and mental health issues, connecting them with stable housing, along with support and employment services.
The Affinity Foundation awarded seven tri-state organizations with grants ranging from $1,000 - $5,000, totaling $22,000, in support of programs that align with the foundation’s "mission and three focus areas — education, financial well being and healthcare," Affinity said in a press release.
