Hearing For Shrewsbury Ave Apartments In Red Bank Set For Thurs

Zoners are slated to hear a proposal for two apartment buildings along Shrewsbury Avenue, according to board documents.

RED BANK, NJ - Borough planners are slated to hear a proposal for two apartment buildings at 234 and 240 Shrewsbury Avenue in Red Bank on Thursday, according to municipal documents.

Developer Roger Mumford is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval for two buildings, dubbed “Parker at Shrewsbury,” at the corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and River Street. The applicant is seeking the approval of 20 apartments, 3,826 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 34 parking spaces.

A pedestrian plaza is also planned for the corner of River Street and Shrewsbury Avenue, according to zoning board documents.

A separate hearing is also scheduled for 273 Shrewsbury Avenue, with plans for a three-story building with 10 units, retail space and on-site parking.
