Health & Fitness

Here come the holidays (and all the food!)

Whether you are preparing for the Jewish New Year that is happening this coming week, Halloween with all the candy, or you are looking forward to the colder weather and Christmas, the food will be abundant in the coming weeks and months.

Coming off the summer where we all went to a barbeque (or two), this has been, and will continue to be, a tough time to eat healthy and watch our weight. No matter what holidays you celebrate (other than Halloween with all that candy), you are still able to make healthy choices when it comes to the foods at any holiday function. It's about choosing the grilled chicken over the fried, the lean steak over the fatty one. While we all hear about exercising as a way to lose weight, nutrition plays a major role in weight loss.

At The Max of Shrewsbury, nutrition is a big part of what we have to offer our members. In addition to daily 45 minute exercise classes, the instructors and coaches teach you about making healthier choices each and everyday. No matter if you are in the supermarket or out for dinner with your family, the education that we provide is invaluable.

The next 10 week challenge at The Max of Shrewsbury (732) 945-0183 begins on Monday, September 9th. Classes are filling up quickly!! Don't miss out. Call and reserve your spot today.

With the holidays approaching, don't let food win!
