'Hometown Heroes' Barbecue A First For Red Bank Elks
A free United Elks barbecue Saturday at 306 Shrewsbury Ave. honors police, fire, EMTS, veterans and healthcare workers.

RED BANK, NJ — Red Bank Elks and IBPOEW Elks are joining forces for an annual town-wide barbecue to honor hometown heroes. The event is Saturday, July 23, from noon to 5 p.m. and will take place at the IBPOEW Elks, 306 Shrewsbury Ave., here.
"This barbecue will honor our police, fire, EMTS, veterans and healthcare workers," according to the Elks website.
This event is free and open to the public.

There will be bounce houses, carnival games, face painting and more, organizers.
The Red Bank Elks, 40 W, Front St., has been serving the Red Bank Community for over 125 years, investing in youth. There are activities and programs to support and motivate them to achieve, while having fun in many areas of education, sports and leadership, the organization's website says.

The Elks support veterans with programs for homeless vets, as well as many other activities.
