Houghtaling & Downey Bring Veterans Affairs Professionals to Monmouth County on March 23

Veterans Claims Clinic will give veterans and their families the chance to submit claims for benefits and entitlements

Local Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey are partnering with the Department of Veterans Affairs Newark Regional Office to host a Claims Clinic for any and all veterans in the 11th Legislative District, bringing veterans affairs professional directly to the local community.

The Veterans Claims Clinic will give veterans, service members, and their dependents and survivors the opportunity to meet directly with representatives from the Veterans Affairs office. Representatives will be able to provide more information about VA benefits and entitlements, assist in submitting an on-site claim for benefits, or provide information about the status of a pending VA claim.

The Veterans Claims Clinic will be held on Thursday, March 23rd from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Monmouth University, Rebecca Stafford Student Center Room 202B, 400 Cedar Avenue, West Long Branch, NJ 07764. “We are so excited to bring this vital service to our Monmouth County veterans,” said Downey (D-Monmouth), “We urge all our residents to spread the word, invite a veteran you know, and help us ensure our veterans can benefit from these programs.”

“Taking care of our veterans has always been one of our highest priorities,” said Houghtaling (D-Monmouth), “This will be a one-stop shop for veterans seeking assistance, and we hope Monmouth County’s veterans and their families will take advantage of it.”
