The annual collection effort reflects IMA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Monmouth County community it serves, officials said.
The donated items will help provide quick, convenient nourishment and hydration to first responders during emergencies and community events.
“The Middletown Township Fire Department would like to thank IMA for the donation of water and snacks," said Daniel P. Kelly, Middletown Fire Chief. "These supplies will be placed on the fire apparatus for the members to utilize after fighting a fire or standbys during extreme hot weather."
"Hydration is important for firefighters even when we think we don’t need it," he continued. "One of the many fire service mottos is 'Everyone goes home.' Hydration will aid us in accomplishing this."
"Thank you again to the organization and all the patients that donated to our cause.”
