Power was out for about one hour late Tuesday morning in parts of Fair Haven, Red Bank, Rumson and Little Silver, but has been restored.

RED BANK, NJ — Power has been restored after a "trip" on a high voltage transmission line affected approximately 4,000 customers in four towns late Tuesday morning, JCP&L confirmed.

JCP&L customers in Red Bank, Fair Haven, Rumson and Little Silver were without power for about one hour, said company spokesman Chris Hoenig.

Restoration was able to be made in "large bunches," he said, once the company determined the cause of the problem.
