Juneteenth Celebration Back Saturday For Third Year In Red Bank
Events starts at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Johnny Jazz Park, 270 Shrewsbury Ave., with food, music, vendors and a guest speaker.
RED BANK, N.J.— The Juneteenth Celebration in the borough is back for the third year on Saturday, June 18, the borough parks and recreation office says.
From 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday there will be live music, performances, a food truck and vendors at the Johnny Jazz Park, 270 Shrewsbury Avenue.
Guest speaker Dr. Carol Penn is also scheduled. An activist, Penn has most recently taken on as her mission ending racism globally, according to her bio. A businesswoman, servant leader and entrepreneur, Penn is a founder/activist and chief visionary officer of Penn Global Visions LLC, a health and education multi-media firm changing the world one meditation at a time, her bio states.
