Last Chance Weekend for Jitney

The August Wilson play was extended for a final weekend due to critical support and public demand.

If you haven't seen August Wilson's Jitney yet, Two River Theater is giving you one last chance. Because of public demand and near-unanimous critical praise, the show has been extended for a final weekend with four shows spread over this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Jitney is set in 1977 Pittsburgh in a makeshift storefront depot for gypsy cab drivers. The men share stories and gossip, two young lovers fight for their future, and the station owner confronts his long-estranged son. Wilson illuminates the human condition with an exquisite sense of the poetry of ordinary life.

In the above video produced by Two River Theater, play goers are asked for their reaction to the Wilson classic. See what they had to say and check out the Two River Theater website at www.trtc.org for more information or to purchase tickets.
