RED BANK, NJ — The LGBTQ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ people to public office, has endorsed John Jackson for Red Bank Council, according to the organization.

LGBTQ people remain severely underrepresented in government nationwide – holding just 0.2 percent of elected positions despite representing at least 7.1 percent of the U.S. population, according to LGBTQ Victory Institute.

Jackson's election would ensure that Red Bank continues to have LGBTQ representation in local government, Jackson said.
