Man Who Died At Red Bank Train Station Lived In Borough

Police: Gabriel Aparicio-Hernandez, 27, was found unresponsive on the train platform; there were no signs of trauma or foul play.

RED BANK, N.J.—Police have identified the man found dead Tuesday on the NJ Transit train platform here as Gabriel Aparicio-Hernandez, 27, of East Sunset Avenue in Red Bank.

At this time, the cause of his death is unknown. There were no signs of foul play or trauma to the victim, Red Bank Police Capt. Mike Frazee said in a statement.

On Tuesday, May 31, at 3:47 p.m. Red Bank Police were dispatched to the train station for a report of a male not breathing, Frazee said in the statement. He said CPR was started by a person on scene.

Officers Michael Zadlock and Grace Maggiulli arrived at the scene and found the man lying unresponsive on the east side train platform. They immediately assessed the victim and determined that he was deceased, the statement said.

The matter is being investigated by New Jersey Transit Police with assistance from police here.

During the investigation, the train station and platform remained open without any delays or disruptions.
