Monmouth County Dancers Bring Home 2 World Titles From Ireland
The dancers won the titles at the CRDM World Championships, which recently took place in Dublin, Ireland.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Dancers from a Monmouth County-based Irish dance school recently brought home two world titles from Ireland, including a Red Bank resident who was crowned World Irish Dance Champion.
The Daly Irish Dance School, located in Little Silver, brought home the titles from the CRDM World Championships in Dublin, Ireland.
Under the direction of Ireland native and Atlantic Highlands resident Gillian Daly, the school captured two World Championship titles, marking a historic moment for the program and Monmouth County community.

In addition to the title, Margaux Oxley, of Red Bank, was crowned the World Irish Dance Champion at just 14 years old, earning one of the highest honors in the Irish dance competition.
Alongside Oxley, the school’s Under 17 Four-Hand Céilí Team also secured a World Championship title. The team featured:

The school brought home two first-place globes, a third-place globe (which Tim Saks earned in the Senior Men’s competition), and a fourth-place globe (in the Ceili Eight Hand age 17 competition) to Monmouth County, along with numerous additional top placements.
“This is an incredible accomplishment for our dancers and our school,” Daly said. “We are beyond proud of their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence on the world stage.”
Today, Daly Irish Dance School continues to train dancers of all levels, from beginner to world championship competitors.
