Narcotics, Weapons Charges Filed Against Red Bank Man: Police

A four-month investigation by Red Bank detectives led to the arrest of a Montgomery Terrace man after a search of his apartment Friday.

RED BANK, NJ — Following a four-month investigation by the Red Bank Detective Department, a Montgomery Terrace man has been arrested, facing narcotics and gun charges, according to a police news release.

The investigation by Det. Sean Hauschildt and members of the Detective Bureau resulted in a search warrant being executed at the apartment of Jaheed Hill at 1 p.m. on Friday, police said.

The search of the apartment uncovered various narcotics and a loaded handgun, Chief Darren McConnell said in the news release.

Hill, 48, of Montgomery Terrace was charged with the following offenses, according to police:

  • Possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine (2nd degree).
  • Possession with intent to distribute narcotics within 500 feet of a public housing complex (2nd degree).
  • Certain persons not to possess weapons (2nd degree).
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a narcotics offense (2nd degree).
  • Unlawful possession of a handgun (3rd degree).
  • Possession with intent to distribute MDMA (ecstasy) (3rd degree).
  • Unlawful possession of a weapon, a knife (4th degree).

Hill was being held in custody Friday evening, pending transportation to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold, police said.
