NJ Man Dies After SUV Overturns On Garden State Parkway, NJ State Police Say

The crash occurred Saturday morning when the SUV veered off the road, struck a guardrail and overturned, police said.

TINTON FALLS, NJ — A New Jersey man has died following a crash on the Garden State Parkway on Saturday morning, NJ State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron told Patch.

At 6:12 a.m. on Saturday, troopers responded to a crash on the Garden State Parkway North at milepost 109.6 in Tinton Falls.

Based on a preliminary investigation, Lebron said a Mercedes-Benz SUV was going northbound on the parkway when it veered off the road to the left, struck a guardrail and overturned in the area of milepost 109.6.

As a result of the crash, the driver, identified as Scott Sanczyk, 20, of Kinnelon, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, NJ State Police said.
