Homeowner Injured As Crane Collapses On Tinton Falls Residence
Emergency services responded to a crane collapse onto a Surrey Lane home Wednesday morning.
TINTON FALLS, NJ – A homeowner was injured Wednesday morning as a crane collapsed onto a Tinton Falls residence. Cook’s Tree Removal Service was cutting down large trees near the property at approximately 11 a.m. when a large crane tipped to one side and collapsed onto a one-story home at 27 Surrey Lane.
The homeowner attempted to escape the house as the crane collapsed. They reported minor injuries and refused to seek medical attention, according to Capt. David Scrivanic. The crane fell across the length of the house, causing significant damage to the garage.
The crane has not yet been cleared away, but residents of Surrey Lane are still able to access the street, according to Capt. Scrivanic. The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
