PHOTOS: Car Fire Near GSP In Tinton Falls Extinguished Friday
Multiple agencies responded to reports of a car on fire off the GSP in Tinton Falls, authorities said. The driver reported minor injuries.
TINTON FALLS, NJ - Multiple responding agencies responded to the scene of a vehicle fire off the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls last week, authorities said.
In the morning hours of June 25, the Wayside Fire Company and Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 were dispatched to a car located in a brush area off the parkway engulfed in flames, according to a Facebook statement from Wayside Fire Company.
“The crews quickly stretched a bumper line into service off of the first due engine while the second due engine acted as a blocker truck, and extinguished the fire,” the fire department described in the post.

“The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident and was transferred care,” the post continued.
It was not immediately clear how many occupants were in the vehicle, how the vehicle ended up off the roadway or what caused the blaze.
