RBC Performing Arts Students Receive Basie Nominations

RBC congratulates its students who have been nominated for 2014/15 Basie Awards for their outstanding achievement in performing arts.

Red Bank Catholic congratulates its students who have been nominated for 2014/15 Basie Awards. This year’s student nominees are: Olivia Rauso for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama (Lost in Yonkers), John Gnazzo for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama (Lost in Yonkers), Tim DiDomenico for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical (Shrek), and Madeline Emile for Outstanding Ensemble Performer in a Musical (Shrek).

Also, Mr. Keith Gissubel received a nomination for Outstanding Direction in a Musical (Shrek), Lost in Yonkers was nominated for Outstanding Set Design, Lighting and Costume Design in a Drama, and Shrek was nominated for Outstanding Costume Design, and Outstanding Chorus in a Musical.

The Basie Awards began in 2005 as a way to recognize and honor high school performing arts in Monmouth County. This year eighteen dramas and 27 musicals were evaluated by the committee. The Basie Awards Ceremony will take place on May 20th at the Count Basie Theater.
