Ellie Moonan (RBC 2015) has been selected as one of about 20 students worldwide to attend Shakespeare's Globe Summer School in London.
RBC 2015 graduate Ellie Moonan of Wall has been accepted to attend Shakespeare’s Globe Summer School in London. She is one of about 20 students from around the world who will be spending two weeks this summer at the famous Globe Theater working with leading actors, directors and scholars. They will watch productions and even perform on the famous Globe stage.
Ellie shared her excitement about the experience, saying how she is “completely honored and humbled by this life changing experience.” She added that “everyday it becomes a little more real that I am actually going to be standing at the exact location where Shakespeare produced his plays.” Ellie also noted that her Shakespeare teacher at RBC, Mrs. Adrienne Genthe “was a huge supporter throughout the application process.” Mrs. Genthe is equally excited, and said “I am so proud of Ellie –she truly deserves this.”
Monday thru Friday from 9am-5pm during the two week program, students will perform, do text analysis, and learn from leading directors and actors on the Globe and Sam Wanamaker Playhouse stages.
