Red Bank Borough Administrator Seeks Bankruptcy Protection: Report

A sheriff's sale is scheduled on his home on Monday, the report said.

RED BANK, NJ — Red Bank's borough administrator, Stanley Sickels, has filed for personal bankruptcy protection, according to a report.

The Asbury Park Press report said the home he and his wife own in the borough is scheduled for a sheriff's sale on Monday.

Sickels and his wife, Donna, filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 7 in March, according to the report. They listed liabilities of $1.23 million and assets totaling $682,778, almost all of it mortgage and home equity loans, according to the report.

“This is a personal matter that has nothing to do with my employment with the borough,” Sickels told the Asbury Park Press.

Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna said the town has investigated to ensure Sickels had not been involved in any improper activity, and none was found, the report said.
