Red Bank Car Crash Results In DWI Charge For Long Branch Man
Uriel Lopez-Cruz, 27, was charged with driving while intoxicated, as well as other motor vehicle offenses, according to authorities.
RED BANK, NJ – A Long Branch man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a parked car in Red Bank, according to officials.
Uriel Lopez-Cruz, 27, of Long Branch was traveling west on E. Bergen Place when he crashed into a parked vehicle at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Aug. 30, Red Bank Police Chief Darren McConnell told Patch.
Lopez-Cruz’s Dodge Caravan continued eastbound until the vehicle became disabled due to "extensive damage" near the intersection of South Street.

The Long Branch man was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, as well as other motor vehicle offenses, McConnell told Patch. There were no injuries associated with the incident.
Ptl. Darren McConnell, the chief’s son, was the investigating officer at the scene.
