Red Bank Classic 5K To Support Local Youth Programs: See Details

The annual race units runners, families and supporters of all ages to celebrate downtown and support local youth, event organizers said.

RED BANK, NJ — The 7th Annual Red Bank Classic is set to return to the borough’s downtown area this June.

On Saturday, June 20, the race will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Broad Street, bringing together runners, families and supporters of all ages to celebrate downtown and support Red Bank’s youth.

Started in June 2018 by a group of local business owners, the borough and community members, the Red Bank Classic 5K quickly became a signature event, according to the classic’s website.

“What began as a vision to bring a premier race back to town has grown into a beloved tradition, now welcoming more than 1,500 runners and thousands of spectators each year,” event organizers said.

“Today, the Red Bank Classic stands as one of Monmouth County’s largest and most respected races, proudly raising over $60,000 to support youth programs for Red Bank children.”

For 2026, the Red Bank Classic will take place on Saturday, June 20.

The schedule of events for the day is as follows:

  • 8:30 a.m. (Race starts)
  • 9:00 a.m. (Band on Broad begins)
  • 9:30 a.m. (Leader-only awards – live on Instagram)
  • 9:40–9:45 a.m. (Kids race setup)
  • 10:00 a.m. (Kids race)
  • Immediately following (Official after-parties)

The day before the race (Friday, June 19), participants will be able to pick up their packets at the YMCA of Red Bank from 2-6 p.m. at 166 Maple Avenue.

Adult registration is $40 and includes a finisher medal, race t-shirt, free activities downtown, entrance into the official after parties and a signature sports bag for the first 1,000 registered runners.

Kids registration is $25 and includes a finisher medal and race t-shirt.

The Red Bank Classic 5K will benefit youth programs at the Red Bank Family YMCA and the Red Bank Department of Recreation & Human Services.
