Red Bank Mayor & Council President attend Building Dedication

THE MICHAEL G. BELL CENTER FOR FRA

July 29, 2019, Red Bank, NJ – Family Resource Associates (FRA) celebrated their new Red Bank location last Friday. The facility serves the community and people of all ages who have developmental or acquired disAbilities. Located at 210 Newman Springs Road East, the building is dedicated and named THE MICHAEL G. BELL CENTER FOR FRA.

“This is a very special day for FRA and the Bell family,” said Chael Bell, FRA Board Vice President and son of Michael G. Bell. “If you could ask my dad what he would want to be remembered for, I think it would be for being a selfless man, putting others before him. He helped people. That’s what he was about, and that’s what FRA does, help people,” added Bell. Already a part of the new facility planning for FRA, Michael Bell had been serving as FRA’s Board President at the time of his unexpected death in 2014.

After serving families in Monmouth county for 40 years, FRA is now located on a main road in Red Bank. “We have already seen so much growth with this move. I thank the Bell Family for this legacy gift and its future impact on our organization. It’s so wonderful to see the building come to fruition because of Michael’s generosity and the generosity of the family making this gift in his memory,” states Nancy Phalanukorn, FRA Executive Director.

Friday’s dedication had many guests in attendance. Mayor Pasquale Menna said, “It’s a great day for Red Bank. On behalf of all our residents and certainly on behalf of our Council President Erik Yngstrom, here with us and an enthusiastic supporter of FRA, I am very excited to welcome your organization and your clients to Red Bank. And, to the Bell family for your extraordinary generosity, thank you on behalf of so many for the future you have given them.”

Chris Curcia, FRA Board Chair, Assistant Vice President and Red Bank Branch Manager for Investors Bank who sponsored the dedication event said, “As Board Chair, I’m always humbled to see the work the employees, Nancy and my fellow board members do to make this possible.” Investors Foundation, as Benefactor to FRA’s new location, was the first major donation received five years ago that helped begin FRA’s fundraising efforts.

“FRA’s mission of PossAbilities for people with disAbilities is a perfect fit. I can’t think of a better way to cement my dad’s legacy. Our family is very proud, humbled and excited for the future of FRA,” said Chael Bell.
