Memorial Day In Red Bank: Gathering At Veterans' Monument
The community can gather on Monday, May 30, to honor fallen military.
RED BANK, N.J.— The Red Bank Memorial Day ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, May 30, at the Veterans' Monument, 51 Monmouth St., Red Bank.
Every year Red Bank comes together to commemorate fallen heroes, the organizers said. They invite the community to participate in the ceremony or place a wreath at the Veterans' Monument.
In the event of rain, the service will move indoors to the Red Bank Elks Lodge on Front Street.

Memorial Day honors the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. It was originally known as Decoration Day and originated in the years following the Civil War, according to History.com. It became an official federal holiday in 1971.
