Red Bank Sidewalk Sale Opens This Weekend

Presented by the Red Bank Rivercenter, the longtime summertime staple will feature dozens of vendors from Aug. 28 to 30.

RED BANK, NJ – The Red Bank Sidewalk Sale, now in its 66th year, will once again hit the downtown district this weekend.

The sale, which was postponed from July due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will feature local retailers during its three-day run.

Presented by the Red Bank Rivercenter, the longtime summertime staple will feature dozens of vendors, free parking, and bargains offered from Aug. 28 to 30. Gourmet foods, boutique items, vintage apparel and antiques are just some of the items to be offered.

Friday shoppers will also be met with live music presented by the Chuck Lambert Band at Riverside Gardens Park, Patrick Murphy outside Temple Gourmet Chinese restaurant and the Synergy Quartet, as reported by Red Bank Green.

In addition, Sunday will see the “Pearl World” punk fashion show on Sunday at 6 p.m. in front of Restoration Hardware. The runway was originally scheduled for Aug. 16, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

“Red Bank RiverCenter is excited to present this annual outdoor shopping tradition the last weekend of August 2020,” said Laura Kirkpatrick, the Executive Director of the Red Bank RiverCenter.

“The in-person, spring and summer shopping seasons were delayed because of the pandemic, but our retailers have been safely welcoming customers back to town since June. They are ready to continue our time-honored bargain hunting event just a bit later in the summer season.”

Shoppers are also invited to take a break at one of Red Bank’s many restaurants and eateries after browsing the market. The ‘Broadwalk’ Plaza on Broad Street will be open from 4 p.m. on Thursday to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
