Red Bank's Monmouth Boat Club Gives Residents A Day on The Water and an Intro Sailing Lesson

MBC members gave free sailboat trips for locals on the Navesink River on Saturday.

Monmouth Boat Club held their annual open house on Saturday morning with information and free sailboat rides. The weather was beautiful and more than 30 locals showed up for rides to find out if sailing floats their boat.

Patch was there and this reporter went on a boat ride with two attorneys from Red Bank, Bob Ray and Pamela Milgram. The  Flying Scot, a 19-foot sailboat, was skippered by one of Monmouth Boat Club's adult sailing instructors Ron Kudile, who worked the rudder and mainsail, as the experienced sailor Bob Ray worked the jib.

Several people who went on the free trips expressed interest in joining the Boat Club.
