Report: Gunfire In Red Bank Under Investigation

No one appears to have been hit, authorities say

Red Bank police are investigating gunshots fired Monday night shortly before 8 p.m., according to a report on NJ.com.

Red Bank Police Chief Darren McConnell said no one is believed to have been hit in the incident, which occurred near Leighton Avenue and West Westside Avenue. A vehicle was hit, he said, but it did not appear that it had been targeted, McConnell said.

NJ.com said the shooting was in the same vicinity as shootings that occurred in April and November. One man was critically injured in the April shooting, and two men were hurt in the November incident, according to the report.
