Riverview Foundation Board Gets New Chair

Domenic DiPiero replaces George Kolber, whose term expired.

The Riverview Medical Center Foundation has a new chairman.

Domenic DiPiero, a member of the foundation board since 2005, replaces George Kolber, whose term as chairman recently expired.

“I am delighted and privileged to be able to have an impact on the health care of my community through my role as chairman of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board,” DiPiero said in a statement. “I look forward to what the future will bring in terms of continued and increased support for this outstanding medical center and in turn, the many patients we serve.”

DiPiero is president and founder of Newport Capital Group, an investment management firm in Red Bank. DiPiero and his family also donated $500,000 to the hospital’s “Life. Changing.” campaign.

Riverview is currently constructing a 22,000-square foot center for surgical excellence at the Blaisedell Pavilion. The center costs an estimated $15 million. As of June, the foundation has raised more than $10 million to help cover the costs of the new surgery center.
