Riverview Medical Center Welcomes Betsy Greenleaf, D.O.

New female pelvic health and reconstructive surgeon joins the medical staff at Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center.

Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J. is pleased to welcome Betsy Greenleaf, D.O., FACOOG, to the medical staff. Dr. Greenleaf is a urogynecologist focused on treating prolapse, incontinence, menopausal medicine, interstitial cystitis, pelvic pain, vaginitis, vulvodynia, and sexual disorders.

“Pelvic disorders impact many women,” says Dr. Greenleaf. “I feel privileged not only to be able to bring my expertise to help the many women who are impacted within our community, but also to join the skilled physicians at Riverview Medical Center who work tirelessly every day to improve the lives and health of people in our region.”

Dr. Greenleaf received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford, N.J., and completed her residency at the same university. She completed her urogynecology fellowship at Athena Women’s Medical Center in Turnersville, N.J. – now part of Drexel University.

Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Greenleaf is recognized as the first urogynecologist in New Jersey and the first female in the nation to be board certified in female pelvic and reconstructive surgery. In April 2018, at the Annual American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference, she will be receiving the Distinguished Fellow Award, which recognizes Osteopathic physicians who consistently demonstrate outstanding skills, accomplishments, or contributions to the science and practice of obstetrics and gynecology and related fields.

Dr. Greenleaf is a spokesperson for the American Osteopathic Association, a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology, and sits on the membership committee for the International Pelvic Pain Society.
