Senator Vin Gopal Tours Monmouth Day Care Center and Lunches with Preschoolers

GREAT PHOTO OPPORTUNITY

Red Bank- On Tuesday, April 10, Senator Vin Gopal will be visiting Monmouth Day Care Center in Red Bank. Senator Gopal briefly visited the center in January to present proclamations and citations to MDCC staff and community partners. "When I visited the Monmouth Day Care Center for the first time in January I was immediately impressed by the cheerfulness of the classrooms, the colorful hallways and the beautiful mural in the all-purpose room." said Sen. Gopal. "The fact that they have maintained this vibrancy and provided a much-needed service for 50 years deserves our admiration. On this visit I hope to learn more about their secret to success and what I can do to help it last another 50 years."

Senator Gopal accepted an invitation to tour the center during the day and meet the full staff and children, ages two months through 5 years, of Monmouth Day Care Center. The Rainbow Room, led by Lead Teacher Donna Minchew of Parlin, is planning a pizza lunch with the Senator and a brief activity.

“Having Senator Gopal come back to Monmouth Day Care for a tour and to meet our children is amazing. Monmouth Day Care Center has served the community 49 devoted years. We are thrilled to introduce the Senator to our program so he can see firsthand how we have been operating for almost 50 years,” said executive director, Heidi Zaentz.

Founded in 1969, Monmouth Day Care Center serves families with diverse socio-economic backgrounds from over 15 local communities. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers attend the program where breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Monmouth Day Care Center is committed to the idea that regardless of race, religion or socio-economic background, all children have a fundamental right to quality education.
