Shrewsbury Grocery Store Sells $50K Lottery Ticket

The winning ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball for the Jan. 27 drawing. Here's where it was sold:

SHREWSBURY, NJ - A winning lottery ticket sold at a Shrewsbury grocer matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball for Wednesday's drawing, garnering the $50 third-tier prize.

The lucky winner purchased the ticket at ShopRite #620, located at 1151 Shrewsbury Ave.

There was one other ticket sold in New Jersey winning the third-tier $50,000 prize. That ticket was sold at 7-Eleven #11015 in Brick Township, located at 667 Mantoloking Rd.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 27 drawing were 17, 33, 35, 42, and 52. The Red PowerBall number was 09. The Multiplier number was 03.

22,424 New Jersey players took home an estimated $129,280 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to a New Jersey Lottery spokesperson.

The Powerball jackpot rolls to $30,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Jan. 30 at 10:59 p.m.
