Shrewsbury Man Admits To Molesting Seven Victims Under Age Of 13

The incidents occurred in Red Bank, Shrewsbury and Wall Township between 2008 through 2018. All his victims were under the age of 13.

RED BANK, NJ — A Shrewsbury man admitted Tuesday that he sexually assaulted seven juvenile victims, all under the age of 13, between 2008 and 2018, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.

Victor Mejia-Salinas, 46, of Shrewsbury, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, three counts of second-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree child endangerment.

All seven of his victims were under the age of 13 and they were either family members or family friends, said the prosecutor. Salinas admitted under oath to sexually assaulting seven juvenile victims.

The incidents occurred in Red Bank, Shrewsbury and Wall Township between 2008 through 2011, and 2013 through 2018.

The charges stem from three separate indictments that resulted from joint investigations by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Red Bank Police Department and New Jersey State Police.

He is facing up to 18 years in a New Jersey state prison with an 18-year period of parole ineligibility. Additionally, Mejia-Salinas will be subject to the requirements of Parole Supervision for Life and Megan’s Law Registration upon his release from prison.

Mejia-Salinas returns for sentencing before Judge Falcetano on May 29, 2020.
