Stepping out of your comfort zone!

Most of us get into a routine and we are very happy with that. Whether it's going to our job on a daily basis, taking care of the family, or just doing the same thing day in and day out.

But I have a question for you. What happens if your boss asks you to make a presentation that you never did before? Or if your friends take you out for a night of karaoke, and you hate being up on stage? Are you just going to say no?  

So I am having dinner last night with family and the conversation turns to doings things that make you uncomfortable. And while my family has some strong views on staying on the safe side, I say "Why not try something different? Why not do something outside the box that takes you out of your comfort zone?"

When my friend Maria came to me in August 2012 and said "why don't you try this fitness program that I am teaching in? You never know what might happen. You need to lose weight and see your kids grow up" Being obese and self conscious, you would think I said no. But you know what...I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried it. And boy what a success it was!!!!
