Battle of Gettysburg Program at Eastern Branch Library July 16

Commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg with this thought-provoking program on Tuesday, July 16 at 7 p.m. at the Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury.

Failure at Gettysburg: 15 Decisions that Doomed the Confederacy will discuss key errors and decisions during the three-day battle, which many historians consider to be the turning point of the American Civil War. 

Glenn LeBoeuf of Let History Live will discuss errors and key decisions on the part of Southerners Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, James Longstreet, A.P. Hill, Richard Ewell, Henry Heth and J.E.B. Stuart  that led to the devastating loss of initiative and manpower at Gettysburg.
