Tower Hill School Helps Local Ronald McDonald House Feel More Like Home for Families

Students Collect Hundreds of Items for Donation

Red Bank, NJ, March 2017 - Students and families from Tower Hill School in Red Bank, NJ recently collected hundreds of items for the local Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch, helping to stock the house’s pantries and linen closets. The school collected and donated items ranging from paper products, to laundry detergent, to sheets, to personal hygiene items, to food, all aimed at helping visiting families find everything they may need to make their stay more comfortable.

The Ronald McDonald House aims to provide a true home away from home for families when their children are seriously ill and at a nearby medical facility. The house offers a welcoming, supportive environment for families during their time of uncertainty and stress.

"Today we are proud parents of a Tower Hill student, but we have also experienced first-hand how comforting the Ronald McDonald house can be in a parent's time of need,” said Tracy Baker, Tower Hill School parent. “We loved how eager both the students and parents were to donate items from the house's wish list, in an effort to provide all of the families staying at the house with the same comforts of their own home, while being close to their child.”
