ViewFinder: Brownies Go Green at Red Bank Public Library
Brownie Troop 1653 beautifies the grounds at the Red Bank Public Library.
Brownie Troop 1653, third graders from St. James Elementry School in Red Bank, continued a yearly tradition of giving back to the community by planting flowers around the grounds of the Red Bank Public Library. Troop leaders explained that because the library and community are supportive during their cookie sales, they feel compelled to express their gratitude in this way.
A portion of the money they raise during their sales goes to buying flats of flowers for this event. This is the third year that this group of 14 girls, who have been together since the first grade, have contributed their landscaping skills to the library.
