Woman Fatally Struck By Train Near Red Bank Station
A woman was killed over the weekend after being struck by a train near the Red Bank station, NJ Transit officials said.

RED BANK, NJ - A woman was killed over the weekend after she was struck by a North Jersey Coast Line train near the Red Bank station, according to NJ Transit officials.
The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. on Oct. 17 as the Penn Station-bound train was approaching the Red Bank station.
NJ Transit police are currently investigating the incident.

There were no injuries reported among the 37 passengers on the train or crew members. Rail service on the North Jersey Coast Line was suspended in both directions between Red Bank and Middletown until around noon. Bus service was provided until rail service was restored.
The Saturday incident in Red Bank marked the second pedestrian to be struck and killed by a North Jersey Coast Line train in Monmouth County within days of each other.
