2 Guns, 200 Rounds Of Ammo Found In Ridgefield Park Man's Home After He Shot Window: Cops

A Ridgefield park man was arrested Monday after police investigating a shooting found two guns in his home, officials said.

HACKENSACK, NJ — A Ridgefield Park man was arrested Monday for shooting at the window of a Hackensack home last month, police said.

Kenneth G. Chin, 42, of Hackensack was arrested in Jersey City on Monday on multiple weapons charges, said the Hackensack police.

Police said that just before 8 p.m. on March 16, someone parked in a driveway on Broadway in Hackensack and fired a round of 9mm ammunition through an apartment window. No one was hurt.

Chin was identified as a suspect, and detectives searched his Ridgefield Park home, police said.

They found a Keltec Sub2000 semi-automatic carbine, a Sig Sauer P365 9mm pistol, and approximately 200 rounds of ammunition, police said Monday.

Chin was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to have weapons, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, and hindering apprehension, police said.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await his first appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, police said.
