5 Candidates Vying For Ridgewood Board Of Education Seats
Three board members have expiring terms in 2021. Here's who's running for those seats.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Five candidates are vying for three open seats on the Board of Education in Ridgewood.
Vice President Hyunju Kwak, along with members Sheila Brogan and Cristopher Kaufman have expiring terms, but each will seek reelection, according to an unofficial candidate list published by the Bergen County Clerk.
Kaufman is slated to run on a bracketed ticket with Muhammad Mahmoud.

Joint bracketing was approved by Gov. Phil Murphy in 2018, and allows candidates to "circulate a nominating petition jointly and be bracketed together on a ballot," according to the New Jersey School Boards Association.
Candidates who are bracketed together share position on the ballot as a group, and their names will be printed together as well.
